Single sign-on (SSO) is a property of access control of multiple related, but independent software systems.

With this property a user logs in once and gains access to all systems without being prompted to log in again at each of them.

As different applications and resources support different authentication mechanisms, single sign-on must internally translate and store credentials for the different mechanisms, from the credential used for initial authentication.

Pre-requisites

The users have to be imported from LDAP or Active Directory

Step 1

Go to Settings tab -> Advanced System Settings -> Global Settings

Change the setting value of the setting key “Single sign on setting for portal login” to 1

Step 2

Remove the comment tags for the following content in Web.xml file below the line "<!-- NTLM Authentication Configuration -->"

SecurityFilter
waffle.servlet.NegotiateSecurityFilter

Hi All,

As we are going to configure single sign on and We have done with most of the configuration.

Below are the points what we have used :

  1. The user data is integarted with the AD/LDAP.
  2. we have enabled the single sign on in global settings.
  3. We have removed the comments from Web.xml file.
  4. Now, In this step. will have to contact with IT admin beacuase this is related to the AD policy related.

We are stucking in the 4th point so We just want to know that is there any way to avoid the 4th step or we have alternate approch for the same.

Please suggest.

Thank you in Advance!!!!
