Customer complains about a portal slowness issue wherein they face the issue in the off-peak hours say between 12AM-3AM when the user accessing the portal is very less. The issue gets automatically solved without any restart. What to check in such cases?

Check if there is any database backup scheduled during that time and whether all of the backups are scheduled at the same time interval. If so, configure this in the varied time intervals. Most cases, this could be the cause of the slowness especially during the off peak scenario. Another option is to check if there are any reports scheduled during that period which might cause the issue.
