I have a group staging, test, etc. and I do not want to consider machines under these group for compliance calculation. How should I do this?

To achieve this, below activities to be done.

  1. We need to map devices to environment – Under Settings->Organization Units page you can manually map systems to certain environment, or you can create a mapping rule to map systems to specific environment along with OU structure.
  2. When configuring software license rule, there is an option to select Environment in which the license to be used. Select the appropriate environment in that.

  3. Next in the reconciliation rule settings, enable “Exactly match environment” restriction.

  4. With this setting, the reconciliation will be performed and if it detects any installation on other environment than configured one, it will highlight as non-compliant license.
