Under Compliance configuration, there are different license metrics can be chosen for a license. In case of device license metric, it always 1:1 mapping with respect to license consumed by the device. However, in other metric licenses such as core or processor based, there may a need to apply more than 1 license depending on licenses required based on number of cores/processor available in that device and this may depend on core factor published by the vendors. For example, if a machine has 4 cores and it has a software installed which mandates one license for each core, then this machine will consume 4 licenses.
