The devices which support SMI-S(WBEM) profile such as storage devices will be configured to discover in SapphireIMS with WBEM credential profile by choosing vendor and model of the device. If you don’t find specific vendor/model, you may attempt to discover such devices using Generic SMI-S option. How this works is, it attempts to find the computer system instance from registered profiles and then try to map with right schema to collect further details. This also helps when CIMOM WBEM server is managing multiple storage devices for example: Single CIMOM server managing two RAID arrays and one tape library.
