Explain the prerequisite to perform SNMP discovery?

Following are the basic pre-requistes for performing SNMP discovery -

  1. SNMP Agent on target device should be running and should support v1, v2c or v3.
  2. Device should be reachable from the SapphireIMS Server with the configured SNMP port (Default 161)
  3. Device should be able to ping using ICMP
  4. SNMP agent on target device should be enabled with access view permission on community string or user getting used as credential
  5. The needed OID identifiers/MIB access to be provided on credentials used to perform discovery successfully
  6. Make sure SNMP Walk on the device is happening with the credentials given. Please refer help link Quick Tools or command line help link SNMPWalk
